The shrunken city

The artwork consists of a collage of small sheets of paper, with imperfectly glued edges that cast shadows reminiscent of a brick wall; a city skyline is visible at the bottom; from the top, the spray-painted blue colour fades into yellow, then red, and finally grey at the height of the buildings. The work (Study for Map: Chapter 9: The Withdrawn City) refers to a city reduced to a silhouette by pollution and belongs to the series characterized by the New York artist’s sociological and almost political vision of architecture.
