On Friday 2 October at 6.30 pm, we present Listening to Ninety Percent of Everything, a talk on an artistic project developed between Genoa’s working port and the cargo ship Grendi Star.
Organised in collaboration with the Amici del CAMeC association, the event presents the project curated by Maria Pina Usai and the work carried out during the residency in Genoa’s working port and aboard the Grendi Star. During the residency, between Marina di Carrara, Olbia and Cagliari, artists and researchers gathered sounds, images and workers’ accounts, relating them to data on shipping routes, goods and marine biodiversity.
From fieldwork to exhibition
The material gathered during the residency became a multichannel audiovisual installation, on view at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa until 4 October. During the talk, Maria Pina Usai will revisit the fieldwork with Stellare’s FiloQ, Ale Bavo and Raffaele Rebaudengo, and Antonio Musso, CEO of Grendi Trasporti Marittimi.
