Discover CAMeC with a free guided tour

Sunday, September 28, 2025 during the European Heritage Days

On Sunday, September 28 at 11:00 am we look forward to welcoming you for a free guided tour of our museum as part of the European Heritage Days. With the event “CAMeC: the building and its history, its current destination, its contents” we will retrace the story of our building – from its origins to its reuse and transformation into a museum – and explore the history of our collections and the current display.

An opportunity to get to know CAMeC better

We will guide visitors on a journey that intertwines architecture and memory, showing how our museum has grown to become a point of reference for modern and contemporary art in La Spezia.

European Heritage Days

The European Heritage Days (EHD) are the largest and most widely celebrated cultural event in Europe, promoted by the Council of Europe and the European Commission and coordinated in Italy by the Ministry of Culture. On Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September, museums and cultural venues across the country will open their doors with guided tours and special activities.

The 2025 theme

This year’s theme is “Heritage and Architecture: Windows to the Past, Doors to the Future”, an invitation to rediscover the cultural value of the built landscape as a living expression of history and community life.

La Spezia and the EHD

The city program, coordinated by the Cultural Services of the Municipality of La Spezia, involves museums and cultural institutions with a full calendar of events.
