Photo Hunt… in the Museum!

Educational workshop for children aged 7 to 12

Saturday, February 21, 3:30–5:30 pm How do we really learn to look at a photograph? And how can we help young eyes notice details, perspectives, and the stories hidden within an image? On Saturday, February 21, in collaboration with the Amici del CAMeC association, we are hosting an educational workshop designed for children aged 7 to 12. It’s a dynamic, hands-on experience that introduces the language of photography through play, observation, and discovery.

Exploring the museum through the lens

Inspired by the temporary exhibition Fotosintesi. Photographs from the Carla Sozzani Collection, participants will be guided by Claudia Rifaldi on a true photo hunt throughout the galleries of CAMeC. This is more than a guided tour. Through framing challenges, detail spotting, explorations of color and contrast, and visual “clues” left by the photographers, children will actively engage with the artworks. They will learn to ask questions of images, look closer, try different angles, and discover how photography can tell powerful stories—even through what first seems invisible. A workshop that sharpens the eye, sparks creativity, and encourages children to experience the museum as a space to explore with curiosity and attention.
