On Friday, April 4th at 6:30 p.m., at the CAMeC – Centre for Modern and Contemporary Art in La Spezia, the artists’ collective Officina d’Arte Ponte di Ferro will discuss the future horizons of sculpture. Free admission, subject to availability.
Exploring sculpture: A talk with Officina d’Arte Ponte di Ferro
This month too, the first Friday becomes an opportunity to experience the museum in the evening and get closer to art. On Friday, April 4th at 6:30 p.m., CAMeC will host the Officina d’Arte Ponte di Ferro, the largest artists’ workshop association in Carrara, for a talk dedicated to contemporary sculpture.
It will be a journey through tradition and innovation: six artists from the Collective will share the experience of the Officina with the audience, illustrating their work through images, videos, and materials from their latest catalogue. During the talk, participants will discover how marble craftsmanship is now combined with digital tools such as 3D scanning, and what challenges lie ahead for young sculptors in terms of creativity, the art market, and resource management.
CAMeC open until 10 p.m.
As on every first Friday of the month, the museum will remain open until 10 p.m. A unique opportunity to visit the permanent collection and enjoy the evocative atmosphere of an evening visit.
