CAMeC has reopened… and it’s new!
The museum’s spaces are now open to the city and its visitors.
“The concept of the new CAMeC is based on the idea of ‘openness,’ which goes beyond the mere inauguration of the museum to encompass multiple and multifaceted meanings, both literal and metaphorical. From the opening of the large windows, previously bricked up, which establish a dialogue between the museum and the city, to the open pathways created by the new layout that does not follow traditional categorizations but offers the public a fascinating and unpredictable artistic journey, centered on a key question: What do works from the second half of the 20th century tell us today? How do we want to narrate a historical collection in today’s context?”
These are the words of Gerhard Wolf, curator of the reorganization of the Permanent Collection.
