Fotosintesi. Photographs from the Carla Sozzani Collection

Organised in collaboration with Fondazione Sozzani, Fotosintesi presents around 150 photographs by 73 international masters of photography. Among the photographers featured — with works selected by curator Maddalena Scarzella from Carla Sozzani’s private collection — are Helmut Newton, Sarah Moon, Paolo Roversi, Man Ray, Alfred Stieglitz and Francesca Woodman, alongside many other voices that have defined the contemporary gaze.
The exhibition unfolds across fashion, reportage, abstraction and experimentation, presenting photography as an experience of light, gesture and vision.

The guided tour

Lasting approximately one hour, the guided tour will lead visitors through the artistic dimension of photography, highlighting the richness of the collection and the value of the different authorial sensibilities it brings together. The tour will offer insights, contextual information and curiosities about the history of the works on display and about Carla Sozzani’s role in building one of the most important photographic collections in Europe.

The guided tour is free and open to everyone, subject to availability.
Museum admission is subject to the standard ticket prices.
Advance booking is required via email.
