On Sunday, 7 December at 5 pm, a special opportunity to explore around 150 works by 73 major figures who shaped the history of photography.
With Fotosintesi. Photographs from the Carla Sozzani Collection, great photography takes centre stage at CAMeC. Thanks to the collaboration with the Amici del CAMeC association, visitors will have the chance to join a free guided tour of the temporary exhibition on Sunday, 7 December at 5 pm.
The Exhibition
Organised in collaboration with Fondazione Sozzani, Fotosintesi presents around 150 works by 73 international masters of photography. Selected by curator Maddalena Scarzella from Carla Sozzani’s private collection, the exhibition features works by Helmut Newton, Sarah Moon, Paolo Roversi, Man Ray, Alfred Stieglitz, Francesca Woodman, and many other influential voices that have shaped the contemporary visual landscape.
The exhibition unfolds through fashion, reportage, abstraction, and experimental practices, presenting photography as an experience of light, gesture, and vision.
The Guided Tour
Lasting approximately one hour, the tour will lead visitors through the artistic dimension of photography, highlighting the richness of the collection and the variety of authorial perspectives it includes. The tour offers insights, context, and anecdotes about the works on display and about Carla Sozzani’s role in building one of the most significant photographic collections in Europe.
The guided tour is free and open to all, subject to availability.
