Two sessions to design and create a ceramic object by exploring form, gesture and material
On Saturday 14 and 21 March, CAMeC will host Trasformare, a ceramics workshop led by designer Federica La Forgia. Two sessions dedicated to experimenting with materials and creating a functional ceramic object.
The workshop invites participants to explore form, gesture and use through the slab-building technique. Starting from flat sheets of clay that are cut, folded and assembled, each participant will develop their own object, personalising it with marks and colour.
An object shaped by your own hands
Throughout the sessions, participants will be guided step by step in the design and making of a ceramic object. The workshop will focus on the relationship between material, gesture and function, enhancing the uniqueness of each piece.
At the end of the workshop, the works will be fired and glazed and will later be available for collection.
Who it is for
The workshop is open to adults and young people aged 16 and over, and no previous experience is required.
Each participant will attend two sessions, choosing either the morning or afternoon time slot.
