An experience of photography, play and experimentation inspired by the exhibition Fotosintesi, designed for children aged 7 to 12
2026 begins under the sign of creativity with Disegni di luce, a workshop inspired by the exhibition Fotosintesi. Fotografie dalla collezione Carla Sozzani and designed for children aged 7 to 12. On Friday 2 January, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, Dr Claudia Rifaldi will guide participants on a short visit through the photographs on display, followed by a hands-on practical session.
The first step: an introduction to the language of photography
First of all, we learn how to look. With this spirit, children will explore the rooms of Fotosintesi, discovering works from the Carla Sozzani Collection. Through observation and storytelling, they will deepen their understanding of photographic language and see how it has transformed the way we look at and represent the world.
Second step: understanding and recognising photography
The visit to Fotosintesi. Fotografie dalla collezione Carla Sozzani becomes a game: in a simple and accessible way, children will get to know the main photographic genres and some artistic experiments, focusing on different styles, subjects and approaches, sparking curiosity and attention.
Finally, time for creativity: drawing with light
If the first part of the workshop helps children become familiar with the basic grammar of photography and gather inspiration from the works on display, the second part gives free rein to creativity through light painting.
Drawing on the experiments of artists such as Pablo Picasso, light becomes a creative tool. Children will create individual and collective light drawings, shaping a small group project that values collaboration, imagination and sharing.

Participation in the Disegni di luce workshop is limited, to ensure a well-paced and engaging experience.
The participation fee is €7 per child.
A reduced fee of €5 is available for Amici del CAMeC members.
