The initiative offers young children a stimulating and playful cultural experience.<\/p>\n<p>From <strong>June 12 to August 8<\/strong>, and again from <strong>September 1 to 13<\/strong>, the <strong>Museum of San Giorgio Castle<\/strong> will host a weekly series of workshops, each curated by one of the city\u2019s major civic museums or libraries. Each day, the castle becomes a space for learning, discovery, and fun.<\/p>\n<p>From <strong>Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.<\/strong>, children aged <strong>6 to 11<\/strong> can take part in activities that combine art, history, nature, and reading\u2014always set in the charming surroundings of the castle, including its panoramic terraces, gardens, and museum halls.<\/p>\n<h3>CAMeC&#8217;s week: contemporary art on a child\u2019s scale<\/h3>\n<p>From <strong>June 30 to July 4<\/strong>, it\u2019s our turn. For five mornings, we\u2019ll bring our vision of contemporary art into the Castle, offering a series of hands-on workshops designed to introduce young participants to artistic expression through creativity, freedom, and an awareness of the natural environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, June 30 \u2013 Land Art: between art and nature<\/strong><br \/>We\u2019ll create temporary installations using natural materials\u2014a creative gesture that respects and enhances the environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, July 1 \u2013 In three dimensions: Lucio\u2019s theatre sets<\/strong><br \/>Following a guided visit to Lucio Fontana\u2019s works on display at CAMeC, children will create their own three-dimensional \u201ctheatre\u201d, inspired by his iconic spatial structures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, July 2 \u2013 RicicliAmo: creative recycling<\/strong><br \/>Using tin cans and repurposed materials, children will make original artistic vases. A workshop that promotes both sustainability and imagination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, July 3 \u2013 From life<\/strong><br \/>An outdoor drawing session in the garden. Each child will choose a subject to represent freely, using a variety of techniques and tools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, July 4 \u2013 Salad roses<\/strong><br \/>Inspired by Bruno Munari, we will use vegetables to experiment with printmaking, creating a small collection of natural stamps.<\/p>\n<h3>One castle, many voices<\/h3>\n<p>Although each week is curated by a different cultural institution, <strong>all workshops are held inside the Museum of San Giorgio Castle<\/strong>, in secure and well-equipped spaces surrounded by history and nature.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the full calendar:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 <strong>June 12\u201320<\/strong>: Museum of San Giorgio Castle \u2013 workshops on archaeology and ancient history<br \/>\u2013 <strong>June 23\u201327<\/strong>: Palazzina delle Arti \u2013 visual art, legends, and creative games<br \/>\u2013 <strong>June 30\u2013July 4<\/strong>: CAMeC \u2013 contemporary art and visual languages<br \/>\u2013 <strong>July 7\u201311<\/strong>: Ethnographic Museum \u2013 local traditions and crafts<br \/>\u2013 <strong>July 14\u201318<\/strong>: Amedeo Lia Museum \u2013 illuminated manuscripts, sculptures, and fantastic creatures<br \/>\u2013 <strong>July 21\u2013August 8<\/strong>: Urban Library System \u2013 storytelling, reading, and creative activities, including a special <em>Harry Potter Day<\/em><br \/>\u2013 <strong>September 1\u201313<\/strong>: workshops inspired by current exhibitions at the Ethnographic Museum and the Lia Museum<\/p>\n<h3>Practical information<\/h3>\n<p>Workshops take place <strong>Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.<\/strong> A mid-morning snack is included, generously provided by <strong>Coop Liguria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participation fees:<\/strong><br \/>\u2013 \u20ac20 per single day<br \/>\u2013 \u20ac80 for the full week<br \/>\u2013 Sibling discount: \u20ac15\/day \u2013 \u20ac60\/week<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advance booking is required<\/strong> and can be made by calling <strong>+39 0187 751142<\/strong> or emailing <strong>sangiorgio.segreteria@comune.sp.it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Workshops will only be activated with a <strong>minimum number of participants<\/strong>.<br \/>Comfortable clothing and a hat are recommended.
