From 7 to 11 September, we will welcome children aged 6 to 11 to CAMeC for a week of workshops exploring the languages of modern and contemporary art. The activities are part of \u201c5 Musei in un Castello\u201d, the summer programme of creative workshops promoted by the Cultural Services of the Municipality of La Spezia.<\/h2>\n

From Monday 7 to Friday 11 September, from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm, we will offer five mornings dedicated to discovering art through observation, experimentation and hands-on activities.<\/p>\n

The workshops are designed to turn encounters with artworks and the museum into an active, participatory experience, encouraging children\u2019s curiosity and creativity.<\/p>\n

From Pistoletto to street art<\/h3>\n

Throughout the week, we will draw inspiration from key artists, movements and languages of modern and contemporary art.<\/p>\n

Children will experiment with activities inspired by Michelangelo Pistoletto\u2019s mirror paintings, Futurism and Aeropainting, graffiti and street art, different representations of the landscape, and the surreal worlds evoked by the works of Wifredo Lam and Ren\u00e9 Magritte.<\/p>\n

5 Musei in un Castello<\/h3>\n

The week at CAMeC concludes the summer edition of \u201c5 Musei in un Castello\u201d, aimed at children aged 6 to 11.<\/p>\n

From 31 August to 4 September, the programme will take place at the Museo Civico Etnografico \u201cGiovanni Podenzana\u201d, with activities exploring myths, legends and traditions from different parts of the world.<\/p>\n

Information and booking<\/h3>\n

The CAMeC workshops will take place from 7 to 11 September 2026, from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Participation costs \u20ac50 for the full week<\/strong> or \u20ac12 for a single day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Booking is required, and the activities will take place once the minimum number of participants has been reached.<\/p>\n

Comfortable clothing and a hat are recommended.<\/p>\n
